Andrés Ortega is a sociologist, holds a Master’s degree in HR from the Instituto de Empresa, and is an Executive Coach. He is an expert on talent management and organizational change management. Since 1998, he has held positions in the HR discipline, a field he has had close ties with throughout his career. He has led the HR function at international and local levels and in different industries such as transportation, logistics and high technology. Today, he works as Head of People and Organization for a major Spanish distribution company while keeping his freelance activity as a Human Capital Innovation Consultant supporting organizations in developing transformational leadership models, digital transformation, and organizational culture focused on innovation.
Co-founder of the think tank “The People Club,” Andrés is also an active member of the HR innovation commission in the National HR Directors Association as well as HR innovation Leader in the People and Organizations foundation of BLC Consultants.
His reflections about HR transformation and evolution and talent management innovation are found in different publications and in his blog, “Human Being and Organization” – “Sobre Personas y Organizaciones.” He was awarded the Gold Prize from Blogosfera de RRHH, the Spanish HR Blogosphere, in 2013 and 2015. Andrés is also a frequent speaker about HR management in different specialized conferences.
